Ms Kim’s Kitchen & More Opened In 2020.
Following in Chef Kim’s grandma and parents' footsteps with recipes handed down. Chef Kim is from Southern Vietnam and came to the US to study and work in the medical field but her passion for cooking was in her DNA. Kim and Robert McMurray were married and the restaurant discussion came up many times; friends, family, and strangers would say “lady you can cook! Open restaurant!”; even at the pharmacy where Kim work, every time at a company party, Kim’s food and Thai boba tea were gone in minutes, her coworkers would say “Kim, if you ever leave here, you should open a restaurant because your food is so delicious”.
It takes a while to make Kim and Robert get a final decision to open Ms Kim’s Kitchen & More. And the kitchen opened at the right time when Kim already focus on her cooking and Robert takes care of the management and customer services of the kitchen. Ms Kim’s Kitchen & More started a local farmer’s market, selling healthy Asian snacks and desserts, organic almond milk flan, spicy chicken jesley, and Vietnamese banh mi sandwiches. Kim’s signature sauces are a big hit, customers always asking for extra (thanks grandma) and mom pop’s tea coffee shop experience brings her thai tea to a new level.
Kim and Robert would like a small mom-and-pop restaurant as the new norm again. Give to charity, volunteer your time, people need to eat, so why not feed them well?
Following the success of the small version, Kim and Robert continue to expand the definition of what is considered Asian food, the duo join many big events, sheet jair, as well as catering to company parties, wedding parties, and family parties. Kim also opened many cooking classes where kids and adults enjoy how to cook Asian food and know about Asian culture.
When they are not cooking and running the show at their events, their favorite feedback from customers.
Kim and Robert enjoy traveling and spending time with their family.
